An exciting new release. An important addition to our catalogue: Brilliant Classics has recently recorded these concertos for the first time.
Bach’s set of six Brandenburg concertos remains among his most attractive works. This a brand new recording by Muscia Amphion. This specialized Dutch ensemble is led by harpsichordist Pieter-Jan Belder and plays on period instruments Recently the ensemble has been making quite a name for itself. For instance with the recording of complete works by Corelli which was very well received.
On these 2 CD’s Musica Amphion give highly energetic performances. The musicians are joined by several of the most prominent early music specialists such as Wilbert Hazelzet on flute and Daniel Brüggen on the recorder.
