Not your standard Christmas offering, but a very pleasant introduction to a selection of earlier Christmas music and excellent reworking of familiar stuff - the first track is the best rendition of O Come All Ye Faithful I've ever heard. Emma Kirkby has something of a choirboy sound and the combination of voices, especially on "Es sungen drei Engel" is lovely.
A perfect way to prepare for Christmas.
